Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory to Him forever! Being built in the back country of San Diego is one of two planned houses of spiritual healing and growth. Good Shepherd Monastery is the first of the two. Good Shepherd Monastery is a Byzantine Catholic retreat house staffed by monks, both priests and brothers, who combine modern psychology with Eastern Christian spirituality.
A number of our monks have advanced degrees in psychology and are licensed counselors.
Our first monastery will be the model for the other one. Not only will Good Shepherd be the home of our religious community, but we will have the ability to hold week long residential retreats.
Our retreat guests will be offered the opportunity to live the life of our community.
